Development With Commitment and Professionalism

Established in 1992 with its headquarters at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, CARD started by developing a strong grassroots presence in some distinct regions of Central India that had a high incidence of poverty among scheduled tribes, scheduled castes and backward classes. After experimenting for over 2 decades we have started sharing these learnings in operations across 30 locations in Haryana, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, & UP. Our decision-making & project execution process is informed by comprehensive empirical studies, research, & high-quality data evaluation. find out about our initiatives below :

1. Health and Sanitation

NHM - RASHTRIYA KISHOR SWASTHYA KARYAKARAM

The RKSK envisions enabling all adolescents in India to realize their full potential by making informed and responsible decisions related to their health and well-being by accessing the services and support they need to do so. CARD is NHM partner and has a team of 10 counsellors, 48 Master trainers, 2500 Sathiya/ peer educators (M/F) and 45000 Brigade members/ Volunteers (M/F) spread up in 1250 villages in 9 development blocks of Mandla district.

SSA-SDBSV - WASH

We have been supporting the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan in implementation of Swachh Bharat Swachh Vidyalaya Mission in MP and Chhattisgarh and have been piloting the 3 star approach for WASH in schools of Chhattisgarh since 2014-15

TI - TARGETED INTERVENTION

CARD, partnering with NACO – National Aids control organization- is working with the Female Sex workers (FSWs) & has implemented Targeted Intervention in Bhopal, positively impacting 1300 FSWs, achieving 90% of HIV testing and 90% of syphilis testing in the target group.

MPSACS - LWS - LINK WORKER SCHEME

CARD has a team of 24 health professionals including 20 link workers. Our activities include awareness rallies, health camps, condoms distribution, medical supply mobilization and formation and training of community self-help groups, covering more than 100 villages around Ujjain, impacting 13000 labourers.

2. Entrepreneurship & Skill development

PMKK- Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra Yogna

We are running 5 PMKKs in Chhindwara, Balaghat, Dindori, Mandla and Ujjain and have trained more than 16000 candidates, placing more than 75 percent candidates across different skill sectors like apparel, beauty & wellness, IT & electronics, construction, healthcare and Management.

NULM- National Urban Livelihood Mission

CARD is operating NULM supported skill centres in Chhindwara and Dindori and has till date trained over 250 candidates under Apparel, beauty, health care and electronic trades.

DDUGKY - Deen Dayal Upadhay Grameen Kaushal Kendra

CARD has started running the DDUGKY center in Ghugrri, Distt. Mandla in March 2021 and plans to train over 600 rural youth in Data entry, Duty assistance, and Nursing. CARD has also got approval from the Haryana SRLM to commence operations in the DDUGKY center in Karnal, /Yamunanagar, Haryana.

ACABC - Agriclinics & Agribusiness Centres

The Ministry of Agriculture in association with NABARD initiated ACABC centres which are being implemented through MANAGE, Hyderabad. This programme helps a large pool of Agriculture Graduates to set up their own AgriClinic or AgriBusiness Centre and offer professional extension services to the farmers. CARD since 2016 has trained over 600 candidates, helping establish over 350 Agri-ventures, facilitating loans worth 2.5 crores to its students.

E&Y - Diwasa

Partnering with E&Y, we undertook an initiative to strengthen 1200 women SHGs in Dhar district, impacting 15000 women. Our work ranging from capacity building and structural development to training and financial inclusion provides structural, operational and financial stability to the SHGs and community institutions leading to holistic development through women empowerment.

Tejaswani

CARD in association with Madhya Pradesh Mahila Vitta Evam Vikas Nigam/ Tejaswani has capacitated women from over 5300 households through 436 SHGs and formed 71 VLCs during 2010-2013. The project established linkages with state level schemes arranged training on Stitching, Organic farming & Soya Processing, SRI and Vegetable Cultivation, Plantation, Mulberry, etc.

Collaboration with DST (Dept. of Science and Technology

Partnering with DST (Dept. of Science and Technology), CARD is working for the overall development of Tribal women in Mandla district. We are working with 2000 tribal women to produce natural honey, medicinal plants processing, natural fibre processing, organic vinegar production, etc.

3. Women Empowerment & Child Development

Watershed Rehabilitation Programme

CARD began as a training, monitoring and evaluation agency of watershed evaluation programmes field during late nineties, and as implementation partner during 2001. Now CARD is one among few such NGOs nationwide who has completed watershed rehabilitation in more than one lakh hectares in over 200 villages involving around 20000 households. Our partners include both government (Rajeev Gandhi watershed Mission, NREGA, IWMP, MPRLP, DPIP, NVDA) and other agencies (NABARD, ITC, John Deere, HDFC), etc. CARD specializes in integrating farming system approach with watershed programme.

Tribal Woman Agricultural Transformation

Under the Mahila Kisan Sashkatikaran Pariyojna, an ambitious pilot project of NRLM, 4500 woman farmers were empowered in diversified farming activities from 92 Villages of Mandla & Dindori Districts during 2011-2014. The project aimed at building capacities of the women farmers by creating a cadre of 500 strong Community Resource Persons (CRPs).

Solidaridad - Farmer Support Programme in Responsible Soya

Through Farmer Support Programme with Solidaridad Network in Responsible Soya, we have covered 9000 farming households in 5 districts of Malwa region viz Ujjain, Dewas, Shajapur (Agar), Dhar and Jhabua and Trained a total of 6853 farmers, organized over 2000 demonstrations on different cropping techniques and formed a total of 354 Farmers’ Interest Groups. The project initiatives include demonstrations of improved agronomic practices, trainings, Exposure visits, awareness camps, scientist interaction, pear review meetings of producers on RTRS principles and GAP including Social, environmental, labour, gender issues, etc.

NABARD WADI (Orchard) Project

CARD is supporting the livelihoods & promoting Tribals' socio-cultural & economic development in selected villages of Dhar (MP and Dhamtari Chhattisgarh). In addition to soil conservation, water management & plant protection, we have introduced better education, sanitation, & nutrition to more than 500 families and 2000 tribals, empowering the tribal community.

FPOs - Farmer Producer Organization

Collaborating with our sponsors such as SFAC, NABARD & BIRD, We are promoting 12 registered Farmer Producer Organizations, catering to more than 12000 farmers.
